About Me

Hello, my name is Mr. Daryl Lopez and I am the Computer Teacher here at Colin Powell School.  I have been a teacher here in Union City since 1995.  I was raised here in Union City and graduated from Emerson High School.  I also attended NJCU where I graduated with a major in History and received a Teaching Certification for grades K- 8.  I also received my MA in Urban Ed. from NJCU.  Since becoming a teacher here in Union City, I have been a classroom teacher, a Technology Coordinator, and a Computer Teacher since 2004.  Since I became a teacher my desire has been to inspire students into believing that they can become whatever they desire to be.  Whether in the classroom or in a computer lab as is the case now I continuously challenge my students into becoming the best they can be.  it is my sincere desire to provide our children with the best opportunity to accomplish their dreams.
