Welcome Parents. My name is Loren Shaw. I have been teaching in the Union City school district for 14 years. Over the past 14 years I have taught first, second and third grade. I have a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from William Paterson University as well as a Masters Degree as a Reading Specialist and ESL Certification from New Jersey City University. 

 

This year I am teaching third grade Language Arts and Social Studies/Geography to my homeroom class, Room 318 and my partner class, Room 311. It is going to be an exciting year filled with adventure and learning as we travel the world through reading. On this journey, the students will visit different places and settings and meet a variety of characters all while developing a love of learning. 

Our goal this year is to become proficient and fluent readers and writers! I look forward to this exciting adventure with your children. Let the journey begin!
