Ms. Quijada and Ms. Silva worked together with their 4th grade classes at the Colin Powell School to produce a Macy's Day Parade STEM Activity bringing the balloons over Broadway to the halls of Colin Powell.

Colin Powell and the 21st CCLC Program would like to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving.

Students from Ms. Miranda's First Grade class at the Colin Powell School used the information they learned in Unit One, "My Neighborhood", to create a model of a community. They used the vocabulary they learned to write about their community. It was a very insightful exercise for everyone.

Join us down the rabbit hole, weather permitting, for an exciting masquerade parade coming up on Halloween at 12:30PM. Students will parade around the school and it will certainly be an exciting event for everyone in attendance.

Ms. Miranda's first grade class celebrated their Hispanic Heritage. They created a collage representing their country's culture. The students presented and shared their collages with their classmates. It was a very insightful and enjoyable experience for all.

The Colin Powell School Staff was thrilled to welcome our parents during Back to School Night. It was quite evident the parents enjoyed meeting the teachers and visiting our magical school as we begin the 2022-2023 school year.
