Happy Bill of Rights Day! Today, December 15th, commemorates the 1791 ratification of the first Ten Amendments to the United States Constitution, guaranteeing fundamental freedoms like speech, religion, and a fair trial, and reserving powers for the people and states, serving as a cornerstone of American liberty.

For the fourth year in a row, Colin Powell students used their STEM skills to bring their favorite characters to life! They had an amazing time showing off their creations in our Thanksgiving Parade!

Ms. Peterson's Colin Powell fifth graders got into the Halloween spirit with a spooktacular pumpkin painting activity!

Please be advised that in commemoration with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Union City Board of Education, the Office of Community Relations in conjunction with Mayor Brian P. Stack and the Board of Commissioners along with County Commissioner Fanny Cedeno will be hosting the event "Let's Tie One More Ribbon for Breast Cancer" on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at 6:30 PM at the José Martí STEM Academy.

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Colin Powell's Third and Fourth grade students researched a Hispanic country of their choice and created an engaging presentation. They did an amazing job teaching their classmates about their culture, history, and traditions.

The Colin Powell School would like to congratulate Sandra Morsella on being named Union City' Italian Woman of the Year for 2025. It's a great accomplishment as we approach Columbus Day.
