The Colin Powell Elementary School kicked off their 21st Century Summer Program. The first week of the program was filled with exciting enrichment courses including a drone pilot and virtual reality course.

Mayor Brian P. Stack and the Union City Board of Education invite you to participate as the following sites will be open in the Union City School District for the free distribution of summer food. Any students under the age of 18 can partake. Breakfast and Lunch will be served from June 27th-August 31st. This is an excellent opportunity to remain nourished during these summer months.

COVID-19 vaccines are available today, June 1st, for children ages 5 and up from 3:00 PM-6:00 PM at the Jefferson School, which is located at:
3400 Palisades Avenue, Union City, New Jersey.

Stack along with local law enforcement to ensure the safety of students and staff in Union City.

While the Union City School District currently does not have a mask mandate, there are certain circumstances under which individuals are required to wear masks. With recent case numbers increasing, we are asking you to review the current guidelines.

What an outstanding effort by Ms. Silva's Fourth Grade Class with their "Thank A Teacher" artwork displayed during Teacher Appreciation Week. This was an excellent endeavor by the students to show their gratitude.

Colin Powell's Student Council showed the teachers and staff their appreciation by making posters for Teacher Appreciation Week. Nicely done by the students with this excellent effort.

On April 22nd, Superintendent Silvia Abbato is asking to please join her in celebrating the 52nd anniversary of Earth Day. This is an annual global event that reminds us to play an active role to help our planet thrive.
