The 1st Annual Young Marines Celebration Everyone in attendance had an incredible 1st annual Young Marines celebration on Friday July 29th at the Emerson Middle School. 45 students graduated with the rank of Young Marines private. It was a privilege for all of these proud parents to cheer on their child as they showed off their abilities during the very impressive drill presentation.

Excellent Summer Learning Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences proposes that people are not born with all of the intelligence they will ever have; some of these intelligences have to be introduced. Hence, students are getting an opportunity this Summer to maximize their potential.
Kicking Off The 21st Century Program The Colin Powell Elementary School kicked off their 21st Century Summer Program. The first week of the program was filled with exciting enrichment courses including a drone pilot and virtual reality course.
Free Summer Food Distribution Program Mayor Brian P. Stack and the Union City Board of Education invite you to participate as the following sites will be open in the Union City School District for the free distribution of summer food. Any students under the age of 18 can partake. Breakfast and Lunch will be served from June 27th-August 31st. This is an excellent opportunity to remain nourished during these summer months.
